Recently, I was able to go on a weekend scrapbooking retreat. It was a weekend to get away with a few girlfriends, stay up (really) late, learn about new crafting techniques, and maybe actually get a few pages made for my daughter’s scrapbook. While I plan to make an annual digital book for our family (and yes, I am way behind), I decided to make an old fashioned scrapbook for the first 2 years for each of my babies. The retreat gives me at least once year to bask in the gloriousness of pictures from the days filled with diapers, burp rags, and sleepless nights, while I dwell on how to display each captured memory perfectly on it’s special page. What a wonderful way to get a little crafting fix, reminisce about my sweeties chubby little cheeks and slobbery smiles, and catch up with old friends. I cherish all of these and feel so fortunate to be able to participate again this year!
All smiles for making new memories while relishing the days gone by!!!
P.S. I was also able to pick moms’ brains about how they display and store their school photos so stay tuned for some fresh ideas!!
